I decided to create this blog because I wish to share human feelings, joys, and sorrows with other senior caregivers as I move through my life as it is here and now living outside of St. Petersburg, FL. As a male caregiver to my wife and moving into our senior years, I hope that those who are also caring for loved ones with memory problems can realize that they are not alone in their life path. Our road is a road less traveled. How we deal with the stress, anxiety, and often depression ultimately tells the real story of who we are as human beings and how we continue to enrich our lives in spite of the hardship. For those of you that listen and read my posts from time to time…I am deeply grateful. I will strive to be authentic as much as I can….which means I will be as vulnerable as I can. Of course, there will also be stories that I conjure up from the depths of my somewhat imaginative memory. The time and places will be off somewhat, but the stories will be just that.. Stories.
